Featured Exhibit – 2026 Season
United Empire Loyalists: From Westchester, New York to Wallace, Nova Scotia
Our featured exhibit explores the journey of the United Empire Loyalists who left Westchester County, New York, following the American Revolution and settled in the Wallace area. Beginning in 1784, more than 400 Loyalists from the Westchester area settled in what became North Wallace and surrounding communities. Through historical records, photographs, maps, family histories, and artifacts, visitors can learn about the challenges, hardships, and lasting legacy of these early settlers whose descendants continue to shape our community today.
